People of all ages are welcome at the 14th annual Ribfest Chicago this June 8th, 9th & 10th. Join food and music lovers as they enjoy some of the best barbecue around! Make sure to make some time to enjoy 20 great bands and view the Midwest’s only professional rib-eating competition up close and personal. Kids are sure to have a great time with the live entertainment, inflatables and crafts in the Kids Square on Saturday and Sunday. The festival is free, although a $5 suggested donation would be welcome.

Bibliophiles of all ages will enjoy this two day free festival highlighting over 200 authors and a TON of books for sale. Most authors will be doing talks that do require free tickets in order to listen in, and there are some heavy hitters this year. Dan Rather, Rachel Ray and Adam Levine to name a few. Bring comfortable shoes, and a large book bag, and have yourself a fantastic time thumbing through books to your hearts content.

The Kratt brothers are sure to be a hit with children and adults alike. Known for the PBS series Wild Kratts and Zoboomafoo , the brothers will be at the Hamill Family Play zoo with a show highlighting rare wildlife behaviors. A special autograph session will follow the afternoon show.
