The thought of steaming hot Pho and blinking neon lights has lured in many hungry larks to this restaurant in the north side of Chicago’s Little Vietnam in Argyle St.
Why 8? The number “8″ is considered as the lucky number for the Chinese, much like 7 for the rest of us. “8” in Chinese is pronounced as “Fai” – means rich. Who doesn’t want to be rich? That chef seems to be hoping and waiting to strike his riches.
Eulalio DeSilva is a Chicago-based Artist-Painter (also a Graphic Designer and Photographer) has been exhibiting for more than 10 years with over 40 group shows up to date, and working on his major solo exhibition for 2009 at the Riverside Art Center just within the outskirt of Chicago. Great shot! Altho 8 in Chinese does not have the “F” sound as suggested in the article.
